How It Began

Over the years, PNW Custom has donated leftover acrylic to local artists as a way to utilize small, asymmetrical shapes that can’t be used for manufacturing.

I (Jenna) created Fin Studio as a way to make use of any extra scrap acrylic, so that I can help prevent as much plastic as possible from going to the landfill and the environment.

Every piece is thoughtfully designed and handcrafted, transforming unused acrylic into wearable art that celebrates marine life and sustainable practices. Every piece of jewelry is hand painted with care and features 925 silver plated earring backs that are copper and nickel free and hypoallergenic.

Learn About Clownfish

About

Clownfish are small reef fish that are usually found as a bright orange color with three distinct white bands (Ocellaris). Selective breeding in aquaculture has led to the development of several clownfish colors and other designer patterns with unique markings, varying levels of striping, or even marbling effects.

Symbiotic Relationship

Each clownfish forms a relationship with a specific sea anemone, acclimating its protective mucous to the anemone’s stinging tentacles.

Geographical Distribution

Clownfish enjoy the warmer waters of the Indian and Pacific Oceans. They can be found in the Indo-Malaysian region from the Ryukyu Islands, Japan throughout southeast Asia to northwest Australia.
